Choosing an interactive programme
STL offers interactive programmes focusing on the most common sexual difficulties. You can click on the name of the programmes to read more information about what they cover.
Starting a programme
When you've decided which programme is most relevant to you, click 'Begin this programme'. The first stage of each programme is an assessment. This asks you for information about your current physical and mental wellbeing, as well as your current sexual activity and preferences. At the end of the assessment, based on the responses you submitted, we will recommend that you either:
- continue with the programme or
- take advice from your GP or other health professionals and do not start the programme.
Where two or more programmes seem relevant to your situation, choose the programme related to the problem which occurred first. When you have completed this first programme and if you are still having other difficulties, you may wish to return and complete the second programme.
During the programme
Each programme works in a similar way, progressing in stages, building your confidence and knowledge along the way. A variety of techniques are used including:
- multiple choice and free text questions for you to answer
- instructions for practical exercises for you to complete alone or with a partner
- information and diagrams
- helpful hints
All the programmes are based on sex therapy techniques we use in our clinics and follow the same best practice guidelines.
You can find out more about how we use the information you submit to the STL website, including when completing the interactive programmes, in our Privacy Policy. Please also refer to our Terms and conditions.
