Please note that we do not endorse the language used in some of the book titles below, specifically the use of the word 'addiction' in relation to sex or porn. Neither of the major diagnostic classification systems (the DSM-5 or ICD-11) include the terms 'sex addiction' or 'porn addiction', and there is little evidence to support the efficacy of addiction-based interventions in relation to sexual behaviour. Rather, the ICD-11 includes a diagnosis of compulsive sexual behaviour disorder and we consider this to be a more helpful and less pathologising framework within which to support people who are themselves concerned about compulsive and/or repetitive sexual behaviour from which they derive little pleasure. It is from this perspective that we suggest some people may find the content of the following additional resources helpful.
