A) Terms and conditions for the website and interactive programmes

Users of this website, including its self-help booklets and interactive programmes, agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

1.1 In these terms and conditions ‘we’, ‘us’, ‘CNWL’, 'CNWL sexual health services', ‘Sex Therapy London’ and ‘STL’ refers to Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust.  Its registered office address is: 350 Euston Road, Regent's Place, London, NW1 3AX.

1.2 The ‘website’ refers to content hosted and accessed via the web address www.sextherapylondon.nhs.uk.  

1.3 ‘User or users’ means anyone accessing the website.

1.4 'Booklet or booklets' refer to the self-help booklets made available on the website to all users.

1.5 ‘Programme or programmes’ refers to the interactive programmes made available on the website to registered users.

1.6 'Registered user or registered users' refers to users who have access to one or more Programmes.

1.7 ‘Assessment’ means the mandatory assessment within the first stage of each Programme.

2. Terms of Use

2.1. You may access and use this website www.sextherapylondon.nhs.uk if you agree to be legally bound by the terms set out below. If you do not agree to be legally bound by those terms please do not access and/or use www.sextherapylondon.nhs.uk. 

2.2. All registered users must complete an Assessment as indicated within the first stage of each Programme. This is intended to assess the registered user’s overall suitability for the programme(s) and includes screening questions about physical health, mental health, lifestyle and relationship factors. 

Following this Assessment, Sex Therapy London may advise registered users to take one of the following courses of action:

a) To continue with the Programme at the registered user’s own risk.

b) Not to proceed with the Programme but to consult a medical and/or mental health professional. Registered users may wish to discuss the results of their Assessment with this professional.

c) Not to proceed with the Programme but to seek specialist support in relation to domestic abuse or unwanted sexual experiences, or to attend appropriate relationship counselling. Registered users may wish to discuss the results of their Assessment with a counsellor or therapist. 

Not withstanding the above, we are not able to guarantee the success of any Booklet or Programme and strongly advise all users to contact a health professional to seek advice about sexual difficulties.

2.3. By accessing any of the Booklets or Programmes, users agree that Sex Therapy London has provided sufficient information for them to make an informed decision as to whether they are appropriate for their particular situation.

2.4. Registered users agree to take all reasonable steps to ensure that a third party does not gain access to their Sex Therapy London account.

2.5. Registered users agree not share their Sex Therapy London login and password with anyone.

2.6. We strongly recommend that registered users keep their username and password safe and secure. You can reset your password via the website. We cannot provide any other support for lost usernames or passwords.

2.7. Users agree to take all reasonable steps to ensure that any computer used to access Sex Therapy London is suitably protected from potential hazards by firewalls, anti-virus software and other such security applications.

2.8. Sex Therapy London is only intended for use by people aged 16 years and over who live in England.

2.9. We may make changes to the website, including these terms and conditions, at any time. You will be legally bound by the updated or amended terms from the first time that you use www.sextherapylondon.nhs.uk after we publish the changes online.

3.1. We exclude any liability to you should Sex Therapy London not be available at any particular time.

6. Termination

B) Disclaimer Medical/Therapeutic Information

1. The information, Booklets and Programmes offered on this site may provide medical information. We do not warrant that information we provide will meet your health or medical requirements.

2. The Booklets and Programmes are not intended for use by individuals seeking or requiring help for sexual problems caused by an underlying physical health problem.  

3. We strongly recommend users contact their GP or other health professional about sexual difficulties they may be experiencing.

4. We do not give medical advice in relation to any individual case or patient, nor do we provide medical or diagnostic services.

5. If you are a medical or health professional then you are encouraged to use this website for general information purposes. However, you should not rely on material included on the website or in materials available for download and we do not accept any responsibility if you do.

6. Sex Therapy London does not provide individualised psychosexual therapy and therefore cannot provide the level of emotional support associated with such therapy.

7. Sex Therapy London will not be held responsible for any loss or damage that results from inaccuracies on the Sex Therapy London website that relate to any sexual health clinics.
