Erection difficulties are sometimes referred to as 'erectile dysfunction' or 'impotence'. They refer to any difficulties with getting or keeping erections.
Most people will experience occasional difficulties getting or keeping an erection at some point in their lives. There are a range of physical and psychological factors that can cause or contribute to erection difficulties.
Temporary loss of erections every now and then might feel stressful or embarrassing, but is not something to worry about. However, if you’ve been experiencing difficulties with erections for a long time, and it’s interfering with your enjoyment of sex, there are a number of things that might help.
